Benelli Week 2022, in the name of Jarno Saarinen

From 12 to 18 September 2022, Benelli Week will be held in Pesaro (Italy) to celebrate the legendary brand and all its fans. The event dedicated to all motorcyclists and lovers of Leoncino Company is organized by Registro Storico Benelli and Motoclub Tonino Benelli, with the cooperation of Benelli QJ.

The event, open to all brands and types of motorcycles, will be dedicated to one of the most loved riders of all time: Jarno Saarinen. This year is, in fact, the 50th anniversary of his extraordinary and historic victories at the "2nd Pesaro Mobili Grand Prix" on the circuit of Villa Fastiggi. It was August 20, 1972, and in front of an incredible audience of over 40,000 people, in Pesaro, the Finnish legend managed to win on his Benellis in the 350 and 500 classes. An unprecedented day that remained in the hearts of all the Leoncino Company fans will be celebrated this year during Benelli Week thanks to a program full of events, including exciting motorcycle tours to discover Italy and visits to famous museums.

During Benelli Week, every day, a motorcycle tour is scheduled to discover fabulous Italian villages, such as Urbino, Senigallia, Sirolo and Fano, crossing beautiful roads that lead from the Adriatic Sea to the hills of central Italy, between natural parks and incredible naturalistic beauties. Every day are scheduled also guided tours in very famous Motorcycle Italian Museums and historical and cultural places.

The final day of Benelli Week is scheduled for Sunday, September 18th. There will be the special event “La Musica della Moto”. For the occasion, an extraordinary motorcycle tour will take the participants to the village of Cartoceto, where an Opera musical performance will be held. After crossing the Pesaro hills, all participants will pass through the splendid panoramic road and end on the Pesaro seafront.

Benelli Week 2022 – The program

Monday, 12th September: Tour of two passes
Meeting point at Benelli Museum in viale Mameli 22, Pesaro, at 8.30 AM and departure at 9.00 AM for the motorcycle tour of excellence: the Tour of two passes. Amazing landscapes consisting of Apennine woods and rolling hills will be the setting for a whole day between the Marche and Umbria regions, crossing Passo Seriola and Bocca Trabaria. Visit MBA Museum in Sant’Angelo in Vado, the village where we will also stop for lunch. We shall be back in Pesaro at 5.00 PM, after 220 km of trip.

Tuesday, 13th September: Sirolo
Meeting point at Benelli Museum at 8.30 AM and departure at 9.00 AM for a motorbike tour with destination Sirolo, an ancient medieval village nestled in the heart of the Conero Park and from which we can see the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic coast. Specialized guides will accompany us for a visit to this beautiful Marche village. Stop for lunch in Marina di Montemarciano. We shall be back in Pesaro at 5.00 PM, after 180 km of trip.

Wednesday, 14th September: Monte Nerone
Meeting point at Benelli Museum at 8.30 AM and departure at 9.00 AM for a classic itinerary of Benelli Week: Monte Nerone. We will start from Pesaro crossing through the beautiful cities of Montefeltro. Proceeding through the main road up to Monte Nerone (1,525 m. a.s.l), we will stop for lunch. A total of 190 km, arriving in Pesaro around 5.00 PM.

Thursday, 15th September: Senigallia
Meeting point at the Benelli Museum at 8.30 AM and departure at 9.00 AM for a motorbike tour with destination Senigallia, passing through the most characteristic villages of the Marche. After crossing through the cities of Beato Sante, Orciano, Mondavio, Corinaldo and Ostra Vetere, we will go in Senigallia for a guided tour of the Rocca Roveresca. Stop for lunch in Fano, where it will be possible to taste the typical fishermen's drink: “Moretta”. We shall be back in Pesaro at 5.00 PM, after 120 km of trip.

Friday, 16th September: Hermitage of Carpegna
Meeting point at the Benelli Museum at 8.30 AM and departure at 9.00 AM for a motorcycle tour between Marche and Emilia Romagna region, arriving to the Hermitage of Carpegna from which it is possible to dominate the valleys that reach the Adriatic Sea. After facing a beautiful route on the hills, we will arrive in Tavullia, where we will stop for lunch. We shall be back in Pesaro at 5.00 PM after 150 km of trip, also facing the famous Panoramica Street of Pesaro.

Saturday 17th September: Urbino
Meeting point at the Benelli Museum at 8.30 AM and departure at 9.00 AM for a motorbike tour with destination Urbino, passing also in the characteristic village of Montefabbri. After the “Duchy” visit of Federico da Montefeltro, departure for the "Circuit of the Capute" with destination Gola del Furlo for lunch. We shall be back in Pesaro at 5.00 PM, after 140 km of trip.

Sunday 18th September: “La Musica della Moto” ASI meeting
Meeting point at the Benelli Museum at 7.30 AM and departure at 9.00 AM for a motorcycle tour with destination Cartoceto, where the guided tour of the ancient village and musical representation will be held in memory of the centenary of the birth of the soprano Renata Tebaldi. After that, we will return to Pesaro, crossing the Beato Sante pass and the Panoramica Street, where there will be a final parade on the seafront, and we will stop for lunch.
